SIM card validity
- It is recommended that pre-paid SIM card users have a credit of at least 100 thousand Tomans in their SIM card before entering Iraq.
- If you encounter a problem making a call during the trip, first make sure that your SIM card has enough credit.
- It is suggested that postpaid SIM card users increase the credit limit of their SIM card to the required extent.

- Users can dial *7# to recharge their SIM card or pay their bill using a bank card.

Call Host
If you do not have enough credit in your SIM card to receive a call in Iraq, your friends and loved ones in Iran who have Irancell SIM cards can pay for your roaming calls; the IVR system will prompt the person getting the call. When using the call host service, the caller must pay the cost of the call for the person receiving the call (the person who is in Iraq), which is 127,000 IRR, in addition to paying their own fee.
Saving on Your Expenses

How to call numbers in Iran from Iraq:
- Add the code 0098 before the number
- Remove the first 0 of the Iranian number

Internet Roaming Activation for Android Handsets:
To use data with a certain operator abroad, you need to activate the Internet roaming service.
- First, go to “Setting”. Then enter the “Connection” section.
- From the displayed menu, select “Mobile Networks”.
- If the phone has two SIM cards, select the “Network Mode” option for your Irancell SIM card and click on the “5G/LTE/3G/2G (automatic connection)” option.
- To select the desired operator manually, click on the “Network Operators” option.
- In the menu that opens, disable “Automatic Selection”.
- In the available networks section, select the desired operator. For example, if you are in Iraq, choose Zain with the cheapest tariff.
After selecting the desired operator, go back to the “Mobile Networks” menu and activate the “Data Roaming” in the opened submenu.
