What You Should Know While Porting

1. After submitting the porting request, it may be rejected at various stages due to certain reasons. These reasons will be communicated to the subscriber via the Recipient Operator’s portal, customer service offices, or contact centers, so they can resolve the issue and reapply.

2. After the Donor Operator approves the subscriber’s porting request, the Recipient Operator must deliver the new SIM card to the subscriber before the Donor Operator deactivates the old SIM card.

3. Once the subscriber receives the assigned Porting Identifier, the activation process will take a maximum of 2 days for prepaid SIM cards and a maximum of 3 days for postpaid SIM cards. If the new SIM card with the same previous number has not been activated by this time, the subscriber must contact the Recipient Operator’s support center.

4. Throughout the process, and at any moment, the subscriber can check the status of their number porting by providing the received tracking code (Porting Identifier) through the Recipient Operator’s portal, customer service offices, or contact centers.

5. It is possible to withdraw the porting request on the Recipient Operator’s portal using the tracking code (Porting Identifier) before the Recipient Operator declares its readiness for activation. To submit a withdrawal, refer to the relevant operator’s portal or its service office.

6. Any calls made by postpaid subscribers during the porting request review period, plus any costs related to other services (discount packages, etc.), will be included in the final bill. This bill will be sent to the subscriber within 1 to 2 months after the porting is complete, and the subscriber is obliged to pay it. Otherwise, the SIM card services with the new operator will be cut off, according to the Commission’s resolutions.

7. During the final maximum period of 2 days and 20 minutes of the porting process until the subscriber’s SIM card is activated on the new operator’s network, international roaming and outgoing calls abroad for the previous SIM card of postpaid subscribers will be blocked.
