What is FWA internet and how is it different from ADSL or fiber optic?

FWA Internet is a fixed wireless internet service based on 5G platform which has various advantages including faster speed and more cost–effective pricing. This service uses a combination of an external modem and an internal router to provide you with the desired speed and quality.

What is its actual speed?

FWA service speed can reach up to 1 GB per second, but factors such as distance from the telecommunications tower, environmental conditions such as the presence of tall buildings, etc. affect it.

Coverage is only available in areas covered by Irancell 5G. To check the coverage, visit Irancell website and enter your location.

Do I need a special modem to use FWA?

Yes, special modems and internal FWA routers are provided and installed by Irancell. These modems are different from regular 4G or home modems and only operate at the registered address.

Does this service have any volume or speed limits?

Yes, Packages are defined based on a specific volume and time. When the package is expired or used up, the connection is disconnected and you need to purchase a new package.

How much do the packages cost?

FWA service packages are cheaper than the mobile packages and slightly more expensive than the fiber packages.

Is the service easy to set up or does it require a technician?

Setting up the FWA service requires professional installation by a technician to ensure the external modem is placed in the right location and receives the best possible signal.

Is FWA service suitable for gaming or jobs which are highly sensitive?

FWA 5G service is suitable for online gaming, 4K streaming and video conferencing, provided that the location has good antenna coverage. Latency (ping) is usually low and the connection is stable.

Can the service be relocated?

No. This service can only be used at the registered address and if a relocation is required, the feasibility of the new location must first be assessed on the relevant page. If approved, Irancell experts will be dispatched to the location upon coordination with the customer to repeat the installation process.

Is FWA internet faster than 5G?

FWA internet is based on 5G and offers the same speed and quality.

Is it possible to change ownership?

Yes, the process is the same as the current process.

FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) Internet is a fixed internet service based on 5G technology which transmits high-speed internet to the customer’s location via telecommunications towers.
In this service, an external antenna receives the 5G signal and provides internet access to users inside the premises via an internal router. The connection can only be used at the registered premises using a modem and a prepaid SIM card.
