Vista Invests in Medrick
Vista, the investment holding company of Irancell, has announced a direct investment in the “Medrick” game studio as part of its strategic initiative to expand Iran’s digital gaming industry.
According to Irancell’s Public Relations department, Vista has finalized an investment agreement with Medrick, acquiring a 17% stake in the company. The revenues from this investment will be used to develop the technical infrastructure, expand production teams, enhance distribution platforms, and promote the export of knowledge-based products. Medrick is a mature and established game development studio with 15 years of experience in Iran’s gaming industry, having developed over 40 games and published 60 games. Kazem Dehghani, CEO of Vista, called this entry a step toward completing the service chain within the entertainment area and creating synergy between Irancell’s infrastructure and interactive contents. Mohammad Mahdi Behfarrad, CEO of Medrick, emphasized the critical importance of connecting the infrastructure and technology with engaging contents. Vista aims to strengthen Iran’s innovation ecosystem through targeted investments in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Fintech, Digital Health, and Entertainment.
