Cooperation of Irancell and Three Oil Companies in Smart Management of Oil Products Supply Chain

Irancell concluded a cooperation MoU with National Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company, Oil Design and Construction Company (ODCC) and MAPNA Oil and Gas Department for implementation of instant monitoring plan and smart management of the State oil products supply chain.

On 02 Feb. 2025, the cooperation MoU was signed between the first and largest Iranian digital operator and these three oil companies in a ceremony at the presence of the presidential representative and the Head of the headquarters for prevention and fighting smuggling goods and currency, Head of FARAJA economic security police, Oil deputy minister and managing director of National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, managers from other oil organizations and a number of media people.

This cooperation was aimed at providing the preliminaries and requirements of cooperation in line with concluding an agreement to operationalize supply and upgrade of measurement systems as well as communication infrastructures, establishment of pipeline perimeter protection and leak detection systems, implementation of smart fleet management in distribution network and benefit from up to date technologies for instant and comprehensive gathering and processing of data and integration of smart monitoring systems in production chain up to distribution of oil products.

Irancell as the first 5G provider is pioneer in throughput and number of 5G sites which has started digital evolution in the industry for the first time in Iran as of May 2024 and has implemented 5G commercial uses in various industries such as oil, gas, petrochemical, transportation industry, smart logistics, mineral industries, steel, smart agriculture, etc. in December 2024, it has also concluded an MoU aimed at upgrading and supply of communication infrastructure, implementation of connected smart factories and implementation of digital evolution plan in Zagros petrochemistry.
