Irancell Receives the UNSP License
Irancell has been granted the UNSP License by the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology.
According to Irancell Public Relations, on Tuesday morning 15 August 2023, in an event held at the premises of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, with the presence of Minister Eisa Zarepour, CRA President Amir Mohammadzadeh Lajevardi, Irancell CEO Bijan Abbasi Arand and the CEOs of Asiatech, Pishgaman, Shatel, Sabanet, Fanap and HiWeb companies (operators participating in the national FTTx plan), the UNSP license was granted to MTNIrancell and all the said companies attending the ceremony.
To this date, Irancell has provided its subscribers with various communication and digital services, including GSM (2G), 3G, 4G, 4.5G (LTE-A), 5G as well as TD-LTE and WiMAX. And, now, by receiving the UNSP license, it has officially joined the operators providing FTTx and all other communication services under this license.
The UNSP license covers all communication services Irancell provides and is valid by the end of the 1410 solar year (19 March 2032).
The new fixed high-speed Internet service based on Irancell’s optical fiber namely FTTx was launched earlier by the President in an event held on 17 May 2023.
