We at Irancell, as one of the pioneers of environmentally friendly technologies, could reduce energy consumption by 11.5% compared to last year by using artificial intelligence.

By analyzing network traffic patterns and intelligently turning off low-power cells during low-traffic times in parts of the mobile network that use Huawei equipment, PowerStar helps significantly reduce energy consumption without negatively impacting network performance or user experience. This technology adjusts energy saving policies according to different scenarios by analyzing traffic changes throughout the day.

The implementation of this technology in 21 provinces of the country has reduced electricity consumption by 13.38 kilowatt per hours compared to last year. We predict that with a 10-15% reduction in electricity consumption in the covered sectors, we will be able to have a lower carbon footprint and take an important step towards a greener and more sustainable future for the Irancell network and the mobile communications industry.

This project named Huawei PowerStar is only a part of Irancell’s efforts in fulfilling the responsibility of protecting the environment and nature around us. Our goal is to balance productivity and environmental protection; so that, we can provide a better world for future generations.
